Thanks for scanning the QR code to learn a little more about David Chestnut. Dave was an avid golfer and loved golfing with friends, especially on their annual trip to Biloxi, MS which happened for 29 consecutive years. Even in his last week before he passed, despite the cancer in his brain, he enjoyed a round of golf. If Dave were here, you’d already be laughing and talking together; he was kind, generous, and made friends everywhere he went.
Those of us who got to play with Dave here and in Biloxi bought this bench in his memory. We used to pause here and decide what we wanted for lunch or if we were going to get a beer at the turn. During his last months of life, he wasn’t supposed to play more than 9 holes at a time so we thought this was an appropriate place for a bench to stop and rest. We hope you are living this day to the fullest and enjoying all the ups and downs of life (and golf). Please be patient if you’re waiting on a group of old guys—that’s probably us.
